News: The spies have it

Joe Baltake
Sacramento Bee Movie Critic
With its MPAA-approved PG-13 rating, Mike Myers' "Austin Powers in Goldmember" looms as good, old-fashioned, all-American smut made for good, all-American, dirty-minded family audiences. In the gospel according to Hollywood, it isn't prayer that keeps the modern family together, but rather, shameless schoolyard humor. ...

Overview:
The entire gang is back -- back from the 1960s, that is. Austin. Dr. Evil. Mini-Me. Scott Evil. Fat Bastard. Plus a few new characters, such as Austin's lecherous father, Nigel (played by Michael Caine), a '70s blaxploitation heroine named Foxxy Cleopatra (played by newcomer Beyonce Knowles) and the title character, another spy named Goldmember (also played by Mike Myers). And how about that randy title? Groovy, baby, groovy.
